After living in his house for more than 20 years, a homeowner in Pickerington, OH, was preparing to sell the home. But he knew he needed to address some issues in the basement including past water intrusion.
The owner contacted Ohio Basement Authority after hearing about our company and our services. He met with one of our inspectors who completed a thorough evaluation of the home. During his evaluation, our inspector also pointed out an unsightly and unhealthy partial crawl space adjacent to the basement. He then presented the owner with some of our reliable basement waterproofing and crawl space repair solutions.
One of our crews removed the debris and failing liner from the crawl space, placed durability-enhancing drainage matting on the crawl space floor, and then encapsulated this area in CrawlSeal liner. CrawlSeal is a thick and durable liner similar to swimming pool liner. It completely seals the crawl space to isolate it from the earth. CrawlSeal is 100% waterproof, and has been treated with an anti-microbial coating to prevent mold and mildew build-up. CrawlSeal also acts as a moisture and vapor barrier, and it helps insulate the crawl space.
The basement also was waterproofed with the sub-floor BasementGutter interior drainage system, SafeDri sump pump, and exterior FreezeGuard attachment.
The previous owner and new homeowner both are pleased these trustworthy solutions were installed to help ensure the health and safety of the home.
