Concrete Repair With PolyRenewal®!

If you have a concrete sinking problem, we also offer concrete leveling so you can enjoy your driveway, sidewalk or patio again without worry. In the past, contractors relied upon mud jacking (also known as slab jacking, concrete lifting, concrete raising, grout pumping and slab leveling) to level concrete that had settled over time. This entailed pumping concrete slurry under the settled slab to raise it and hoping that the settlement wouldn't continue. At Ohio Basement Authority we use PolyRenewal® because it is a fast & efficient method to raise sinking concrete. This simple foam injection can stabilize your concrete slab for years to come!

Radon Mitigation and Foundation Repair Projects are Completed in Grove City, OH
While she has lived in her house for more than 20 years, a homeowner in Grove City, OH, recently began to question the health and safety of her home. Concerned with the possible presence of radon, the owner decided to have her home tested for this hazardous gas. The test results indicated her home’s levels were above the Environmental Protection Agency’s radon action level of 4 picocuries per liter (pCi/L). The test and results came from AlphaEnergy Laboratories, which referred the owner to Ohio Basement Authority for further assistance. The owner was eager to contact us and meet with one of our inspectors. Our inspector reviewed the test results with the owner, as well as our company’s mitigation procedures. Our inspector also pointed out several areas of the foundation walls that were cracking and tilting inward, and he recommended one type of our many reliable foundation repair solutions, as well. One of our crews then installed a radon mitigation system in the home to draw radon out and safely and effectively ventilate it, thus lowering the home’s levels as much as possible. The crew also stabilized the walls with several Carbon Fiber supports, which firmly adhere to the walls to hold them in their current positions and prevent any further cracking and inward movement. The owner also inquired about our sump pumps, and the crew replaced the existing system with the SafeDri Battery Backup system. The homeowner is pleased to now have these reliable solutions protecting her living environment.
Radon Mitigation System and Basement Waterproofing Installation Help Create a Healthier Home in Grove City, OH
Since moving into their house almost one year ago, homeowners in Grove City, OH, have been working on various projects to maintain and improve the health of their home. They have been thinking about radon and how it could affect their home. Radon is a naturally occurring gas that is commonly found across the country. The colorless and odorless gas is produced by the decay of uranium in rocks and soil. It also is very deadly; it results in more than 20,000 deaths every year and is the second leading cause of lung cancer. After learning more about Ohio Basement Authority through online resources like Home Advisor, the homeowners were eager to contact us to help them address possible radon in their home. We tested their house for radon, and the results indicated that the levels in their home were 5 pCi/L (picocuries per liter). This is just slightly higher than the level at which radon mitigation systems are recommended for homes, which is 4 pCi/L. They wanted to take the proper steps to get this level as low as possible so they would have a healthy forever home. We then installed a radon mitigation system in their home to safely ventilate the radon out of the house. This involved creating a suction point in the basement’s concrete floor. PVC pipe was connected to this hole and directed outside to a fan that was mounted on the home’s exterior. This fan then ventilates the radon gas up through more pipe that was extended past the roof. The homeowners also were concerned with possible water intrusion, so we installed reliable basement waterproofing products including the BasementGutter interior drainage system, SafeDri Triple sump pump, and exterior FreezeGuards. The owners now have peace of mind knowing these reliable products have helped them create a healthier and safer home that they will be able to enjoy for many more years to come.

After years of trying to address crawl space water and moisture problems on his own, a homeowner in Grove City, OH, was ready to seek professional assistance to correct the unhealthy area once and for all. The crawl space under his home was full of debris, water and moisture. He previously installed pumps to drain the water out of the leaking crawl space, but the issue has only worsened over time. The BBB rating and the extensive information on your website concerning French Drain systems and similar products/methods is why I chose Ohio Basement Authority. And I was surprised to receive a phone call less than an hour after I submitted my online inquiry. Very responsive. Matt did a great job explaining the process and products, and working within the constraints imposed. The crew was very courteous and friendly, and also took the time to explain as the work progressed. All company representatives that I was in contact with were very helpful, friendly and courteous. I appreciated how quickly my work was done, due to early wrap-up of another job. I am very pleased with the work.

I have seen Ohio Basement Authority on TV, and a friend recommended the company to me. I chose to work with your company because of that recommendation and the price for the work.

The inspector was very helpful and answered all my questions, and talked to me any time I had more questions.

The installation crew called to let me know when they were on their way, and they were all very nice. The foreman explained everything he was going to do, and they did a great job. Your crew was very hardworking. That was a nasty job for anyone to do. I would give my reference to anyone who was looking. Thank you for a good job!

Hello, I am very pleased to follow up with you regarding my experience with the work that was completed for me by Ohio Basement Authority on April 4-5, 2017. My property needed to have all of the existing storm drainage lines replaced, from the downspouts to the street. This project involved a substantial amount of excavation for the installation of several new lines. Each of these good folks did an excellent job! They arrived on time, were very expert at their job and very polite and courteous! Their work and clean up was very neat, with all of the excavation covered by the existing soil and sod. In short, the crew members are professionals that represented your company in a very positive way. I look forward to doing additional business with Ohio Basement Authority, and will recommend your company to others. With best regards, Thomas L. F.

Victor is the best! And the installation crew really kept my house clean. Adam and his crew took the trouble to come in the back door and put coverings over their feet to keep my place clean. Also, the cleanup of my basement when they were done was outstanding.

I have always been more than satisfied with your services, and will surely be calling on you again in the future.

The company representative we met with was very knowledgeable about all the services you provide. We chose to work with you because the inspector wasn’t overselling any products and services, and we liked what we read from Angie’s List comments.

The installation crew called a head before arrival and wasted no time setting up and getting started. I was informed of what was going to happen and who was doing what. I was impressed with the way they worked. Dust was very minimal, and was kept to the area being worked on. They did a great job of containing everything.

It was just impressive. They got a lot of work done in a timely manner.

Ohio Basement Authority encapsulated the crawl space and installed four SmartJacks, each with a poured concrete base, to raise the floor joists and provide support.

It went very well. We knew a large area of the floor wasn’t level by about 1 1/4″ because a wall wasn’t load bearing that probably should have been. After the project had begun, the crew quickly adjusted their plans to pour the concrete and install the SmartJacks before finishing the encapsulation.

They finished in two days. The floor feels more solid, and it is noticeably more level. They also did the necessary things to do the job, like re-routing the dryer vent and a duct.

The encapsulation is working as expected. The crawl space is now room temperature, and the above room’s floor is also room temperature.

Karen B. has lived in her home in Galloway, OH, for several years. She was getting tired of dealing with a smelly basement and crawl space, as well as the lack of storage. She contacted Ohio Basement Authority to see how to remedy these issues, and we installed the perfect solution for her. We encapsulated the partial crawl space in CrawlSeal liner and added ExTremeBloc insulation panels to the crawl space walls. Karen is excited this area is now a brighter, warmer, and healthier space she can finally use for storage.

Another company only gave me a verbal estimate, and never sent a written estimate as promised. He assumed on where the footer was located, unlike your guy who dug the whole 26 inches to find it. I was sold right there. He has integrity.

The installation crew even called with an approximate arrival time. They put plastic on the ground before digging, which made it so much easier and cleaner. Milton and Daniel did a great job; no complaints from me. You guys have a great team from what I have seen.

The guys I have met were all good workers, and I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome. The owner also came out personally to compact the dirt down more for my new driveway going in next. Excellent service.

I own a small handyman service and my wife is a realtor. You will be our No. 1 recommendation.

Doug R.'s home in Grove City, OH, had multiple issues with both the basement and the crawl space. The basement walls were cracking and bowing inward, foundation insulation was outdated and inefficient, and the crawl space had moisture problems. Doug learned about Ohio Basement Authority through a TV ad, and decided to give them a call. He also called other companies in the area to provide a quote. But he was impressed by how thoroughly the inspector from Ohio Basement Authority evaluated the property, and by the solutions he designed and quoted. It was also the price that ultimately convinced Doug to trust the company to do the work. The solutions offered by Ohio Basement Authority were significantly more affordable. The bowing, cracking basement walls were stabilized with Carbon Fiber wall supports, and the crawl space was sealed with the CrawlSeal™ System. "When the crew came out, they worked fast, they worked hard, they got the things done earlier," Doug said. "And they were very helpful, answered any question that I had while they were here. My wife and I are both pleased with the results."

I recently saw your TV ad, and I originally found you based on research through the Internet. I liked that you used a state of the art repair method. I also liked the information available on the website and the reviews about the company.

The installation crew called ahead, and Mike came back promptly the next day to finish the project after some equipment problems the day before.

Joe was fabulous and did little extras while he was working the job. He configured the plan to fix my eaves and drainage system, and tie my sump pump drain into the new trenched drain at a reasonable price. He also took out the bushes that were in the way and removed materials. He noticed my emergency Zoeller sump pump should be in use, so he switched that out and Mike cleaned out the rocks in the bottom to avoid a basement flood.

They were informative and helpful in every way. I can’t say enough about how wonderful they all were. They removed debris that would have been a problem for me with the city trash collection like the lilac bush, PVC drain pipes that were above ground, and the cement from below the downspout.

Mike also did an excellent job of cutting and filling the stress cracks on the porch floor, ensured the posts were plumb, and stayed late to finish. Then he explained the referral program to me.

I am more than satisfied with the pricing and all they did. I will refer them to my hundreds of fellow real estate investors and rehabbers.
