PolyRenewal™ Concrete Leveling & Lifting

The sunken and cracked concrete around your Guernsey County home is both an eyesore and a safety hazard. It is also likely to get worse, but we can fix it for you. Our experts use PolyRenewal, a superior polyurethane foam. Small holes are drilled in the concrete, the foam is injected and the expanding foam lifts the concrete. The majority of contractors you will call use mudjacking instead of foam. Mudjacking is heavier, require larger holes in the concrete and does not last as long as PolyRenewal. Job Stories From Guernsey, OH
Crawl Space Encapsulation and Stabilization in Cambridge, OH
A homeowner in Cambridge, OH, has lived in his house since it was built four years ago. During that time, the owner has noticed structural and other issues with the home. Some areas of the floor were sagging, and the dirt and gravel crawl space under the house was heavy with moisture. The homeowner was motivated to address these issues once and for all before the health and safety of the home was negatively impacted. He contacted Ohio Basement Authority after glancing at our website, and he was eager to meet with one of our inspectors to learn more about how we could help him. The inspector pointed out some of the floor joists were sagging, resulting in uneven floors above the crawl space. This could have been caused by the moisture and humidity in the crawl space. Our inspector then recommended several of our reliable crawl space repair solutions. Along with a new main support beam, one of our crews installed several IntelliJacks in the crawl space to stabilize and help raise the sagging floor. We also encapsulated the crawl space in thick and durable CrawlSeal liner and insulated it with ExTremeBloc panels on the walls. The dehumidifier also was installed in the crawl space to clean and filter the air, help control moisture and humidity, and eliminate odors and the potential for mold growth. The homeowner now has peace of mind knowing these trustworthy solutions have helped him create a safer and healthier living environment.

Helical Piers Stabilize Tilting Chimney in Cambridge, OH
While a homeowner in Cambridge, OH, has lived in her house for many years, it wasn’t until recently that her son noticed potential structural hazards. The chimney was beginning to separate from the rest of the house, causing it to tilt. This is one of the more alarming signs of foundation settlement, so the man wanted to make every effort to protect his mother and her home. He reached out to various repair companies on her behalf, and he wanted to make sure this structural issue would be properly handled. He was impressed by Ohio Basement Authority’s permanent solution of installing Helical Piers. Two of these heavy-duty, galvanized steel piers were installed underneath the settling areas of the chimney’s foundation. The piers permanently stabilize the chimney and they offer the best opportunity to raise it back to level. The homeowner and her son now have peace of mind knowing this permanent repair solution has created a safe and structurally sound living environment.
Stabilizing a Failing Foundation and Waterproofing a Leaking Basement in Senecaville, OH
After living in their house for several years, homeowners in Senecaville, OH, were motivated to address glaring issues they were tired of dealing with. Two of the foundation walls were showing signs of failure in the form of cracks and inward tilting. Some areas of the floors also were sagging, Water also leaked through a corner of the basement. The homeowners would like to finish their basement, but they knew they needed to have these issues fixed before doing so. They were motivated to contact Ohio Basement Authority after seeing our TV ads. After they met with one of our inspectors, they were eager for one of our crews to install several reliable repair solutions. To stabilize the foundation, we installed eight Wall Anchors on the cracking, tilting wall, and eight Push Piers underneath the other wall that seemed to be settling. Made of galvanized steel, the heavy-duty wall anchors offer the best opportunity to straighten the walls. Their unique design also allows them to be tightened for wall improvement. The durable piers are mechanically driven down to competent soil. They permanently stabilize the foundation and offer the best opportunity to lift it back to level. We also addressed the sagging floors by installing several IntelliJacks in the crawl space underneath the house. These sturdy supports, also made of galvanized steel, permanently stabilize the floor and floor joists. They also prevent further sagging and can lift the floors back to level. The IntelliJacks will not rust or corrode. They also are designed to stop settling, but they can easily be adjusted if any settlement occurs. To keep the basement dry, we installed waterproofing products including the BasementGutter interior drainage system in the basement’s sub-floor to catch any water that might seep into the basement through the walls or floor. This water is then directed to the SafeDri Triple sump pump system that replaced the older, failing sump pump. The SafeDri Triple is equipped with three powerful pumps inside its liner, as well as an external backup battery. This reliable system will always work to pump any seeping water out of the basement. The homeowners now have peace of mind knowing their home will be dry, safe and healthy because of these reliable repair solutions.
