|Why Choose Us?
After living in his house for several years, a homeowner in Fredericktown, OH, noticed some issues with one of the foundation walls of the barn on his property. This wall had various cracks and gaps, indicating it was settling.
The owner wanted to address these problems before they worsened, so he started to research potential repair options. He came across information about Ohio Basement Authority online, and he was eager to contact us to learn more about how we could help him. He met with one of our inspectors who evaluated the condition of the wall. Our inspector then recommended one type of our many reliable foundation repair solutions.
One of our crews then installed several Push Piers underneath the problematic foundation wall. Once crew members dug down to expose the foundation’s footing, heavy-duty steel brackets were secured. Rugged steel tubes were driven through the brackets to competent soils. The weight of the barn was then transferred through the piers to load bearing strata. This ensures no further settlement will occur, and the barn can be lifted back to level.
The homeowner now has peace of mind knowing the barn will be a safe and stable building for many years to come because of these trustworthy repairs.
A crawl space in Gallipolis, OH had cracks in its foundation walls, so the homeowners called Ohio Basement Authority for help.
We visited the home and determined it would be best to use steel push piers to fix the problem.
These push piers are driven deep into the soil to the bedrock or stabler soil layer below. They can be installed from the interior or exterior of the home, and in this case, they were installed inside the crawl space. They provide an opportunity to lift a home back toward its original position, and this often closes cracks and improves the operation of doors and windows that may have become "sticky" due to foundation failure.
Six steel push piers were installed in this Gallipolis crawl space, and have corrected the cracking the homeowners were experiencing. They are very satisfied the with results.
It has been almost two years since homeowners in Centerburg, OH, moved into their house. Recently, they started to notice some areas of their floors felt like they were sagging and uneven. They didn’t want the problem to worsen and result in significant damage, and they knew they could count on Ohio Basement Authority for the right solution. They previously called on us to complete a waterproofing project, and they were pleased with the results.
The owners met with the same inspector who evaluated the condition of the floors and the below support system in the crawl space. Our inspector found the floor joists and light-duty jack posts in the crawl space were failing to properly support the above floor. The inspector then recommended one type of our reliable foundation repair solutions.
One of our crews then installed several IntelliJacks in the crawl space to stabilize the above floor and floor joists, as well as help raise the floor back to level. These heavy-duty supports are made of galvanized steel, making them rust and corrosion resistant. While IntelliJacks are designed to stop settling, they can easily be adjusted if any settlement occurs.
The homeowners are happy these trustworthy solutions were installed to help stabilize their home for many years to come.

They met with one of our inspectors who completed a thorough evaluation of the home’s foundation, and our inspector then recommended one of our foundation repair solutions.
We installed several Carbon Fiber supports on the problematic foundation wall. These heavy-duty supports permanently reinforce the foundation wall where they were installed, and they prevent any further cracking and inward bowing. They also can easily be concealed by paint or drywall.

After living in her house for a few years, a homeowner in Howard, OH, recently began to notice water seeping into the basement. This seemed to happen during heavy rains in one corner in particular. A downspout conductor line also happened to be outside this corner and could very well have been contributing to the leakage.
After a loved one’s do-it-yourself attempts, the homeowner wanted to seek professional advice. She contacted Ohio Basement Authority after learning more about our company online, and she then met with one of our inspectors. The inspector recommended updating the exterior drainage system to help prevent water from the gutter downspouts from leaking inside the house.
One of our crews then installed new downspout conductor lines on the property. These lines were buried underground and directed to drain water away from the home and out to a culvert at the edge of the property.
The homeowner is happy to have an updated drainage system that will help keep water out of and away from her home.

One of our crews then waterproofed the basement with BasementGutter and SafeDri, as well as exterior FreezeGuard and Yardwell attachments.
BasementGutter is placed in the sub-floor to catch seeping water from the walls and floor. This water is then directed to the powerful SafeDri Battery Backup System and then pumped out of the house. A FreezeGuard was attached to the exterior sump pump discharge line, and this line was tied into a new downspout conductor line that was installed on the property. I heard about Ohio Basement Authority through Alpha Labs, and I chose to work with the company because of its presence on the BBB, the reputation, and the warranties.
The office staff was good in setting up an appointment time. John Dean did a fine job of describing the system and listening to a homeowner's thoughts. He closed the sale well, also.
The crew explained their installation process and worked quickly to get the job done. It was a snowy day, and they put down canvas over the floors that they would be using. The cleanup was excellent.
Thanks for getting it done quickly and effectively.
I was very happy and satisfied with your company from the first phone call. Michael Moss, and the crew, including Manuel and his helpers, were all exemplary.

I took photos before and after, and it is amazing how different it looks in our "new" basement. Everything looks very nice. No frogs in there now!!!
We chose to work with Ohio Basement Authority because of the inspector’s presentation and the warranty.
Brendan did a great job. We originally asked about an egress window, and ended up with an egress window and waterproofing.
Our foreman was a pleasure to work with, and everyone on the crew was pleasant. They cleaned up daily and at the end. They did a great job. They are great communicators, which is great when you are doing work on my most important asset.
You installed a waterproofing system in our basement, and we never contacted any other company.
Zeke Fowler was very informative and not at all “high pressure.”
