After living in their house for several years, homeowners in Lakeview, OH, began to notice potential structural problems with their home. They spotted various cracks and gaps along a couple of the exterior foundation walls, which are common signs of foundation failure and settlement.
The homeowners plan to live in the house for many more years, so having a safe and structurally sound living environment is very important to them. Hoping to address these issues once and for all, the owners began to research potential repairs. After gleaning information from Ohio Basement Authority’s website, they were eager to contact us to learn more about how we could help them.
The owners then met with one of our inspectors who evaluated the condition of the foundation walls. He also ventured into the crawl space underneath the house, and he noted that the same problematic walls also had interior cracks and gaps. Our inspector then recommended one type of our many reliable foundation repair solutions.
One of our expert crews then installed several Push Piers underneath the settling foundation walls. After digging down to expose the foundation’s footing, heavy-duty steel brackets were secured. Rugged steel tubes were then driven through the brackets to competent soils. The weight of the house was then transferred through the piers to load-bearing strata. This ensures no further settlement will occur, and the home’s walls can be lifted back to level.
The homeowners now have peace of mind knowing this trustworthy repair project has helped ensure the safety and stability of their forever home.
A homeowner in Mechanicsburg, OH built his garage in May 2016. Just months later, the walls of the garage began to shift and he became concerned that the walls would eventually fall. Since he was planning on living in his home forever, he decided that this was a necessary fix. He called Ohio Basement Authority after doing an internet search and discovering that we provide free inspections and estimates.
One of our certified inspectors came out to thoroughly evaluate the situation and determine the best steps to take for repair. He suggested using push piers to stabilize the garage.
Steel push piers are driven deep down into bedrock or another soil layer. They can be installed from the exterior or interior of a structure and can provide an opportunity to lift it back toward its original position.
After the homeowner agreed to have this repair installed, one of our expert production crews installed 10 push piers to support the garage. The homeowner is happy with the results and is no longer concerned about his new garage shifting further or collapsing.
Shortly after moving into their house, homeowners in Lakeview, OH, began to notice potential structural problems in the home. One section of the floor was sagging, which is a sign of failing structural supports.
Hoping to permanently stabilize the floor and raise it back to level, the homeowners were eager to contact Ohio Basement Authority after learning more about our company online. They met with one of our experienced inspectors who pointed out the wooden supports in the crawl space were indeed failing to properly support the floor above.
Along with replacing a wooden support beam with a durable structural steel I-Beam, we installed several IntelliJacks in the crawl space. Unlike typical jack posts, the heavy-duty IntelliJacks are made of galvanized steel to enhance their durability. This also makes them rust and corrosion resistant. The IntelliJacks permanently stabilize the above floors and help raise them back to the proper level. They also are designed to prevent further settling. But if any settling occurs, the IntelliJacks can easily be adjusted.
The homeowners now have peace of mind knowing these reliable repairs have helped them create a safer and structurally sound living environment.

The homeowner now has peace of mind knowing the upgraded discharge lines will help keep his home dry for many more years.
Everyone was very knowledgeable and professional. The price was a big factor that led me to choose your company, as well as getting everything I needed and wanted. The inspector explained the benefits of everything and didn’t try to sell me things I did not need.
