Concrete Repair With PolyRenewal®!

If you have a concrete sinking problem, we also offer concrete leveling so you can enjoy your driveway, sidewalk or patio again without worry. In the past, contractors relied upon mud jacking (also known as slab jacking, concrete lifting, concrete raising, grout pumping and slab leveling) to level concrete that had settled over time. This entailed pumping concrete slurry under the settled slab to raise it and hoping that the settlement wouldn't continue. At Ohio Basement Authority we use PolyRenewal® because it is a fast & efficient method to raise sinking concrete. This simple foam injection can stabilize your concrete slab for years to come!

Job Stories From New Albany, OH
Radon Mitigation System and Crawl Space Encapsulation Create a Healthier Home in New Albany, OH
Homeowners in New Albany, OH, plan to live in their house for many years, so maintaining a healthy living environment is important to them. They had two tests completed for radon levels in their home, and the results concerned them. The average reading between the two was 5.1 pCi/L (picocuries per liter). The level at which a mitigation system is needed is 4 pCi/L. The owners wanted to take the proper steps to get the levels of this gas as low as possible. Radon, produced by uranium decay in rocks and soil, is colorless and odorless. While it is naturally occurring and common throughout the country, it is a deadly gas that results in more than 20,000 deaths each year. It also is the second-leading cause of lung cancer. Once the homeowners contacted Ohio Basement Authority, we addressed their concerns with radon by installing a radon mitigation system to pull radon from within the home and ventilate it outside. The sump pump lid was replaced with an airtight, domed lid to seal it and prevent radon from escaping. The crawl space also was encapsulated in CrawlSeal liner and insulated with ExTremeBloc panels. Not only did the installation of CrawlSeal create a more functional storage area, it also prevents radon from passing through. A dehumidifier also was installed to filter and purify the air. The owners now have peace of mind knowing their home will be a healthier and safer living environment for many years to come.
Basement Waterproofing with SafeDri & FreezeGuard in New Albany, OH
After living in his home for 15 years, a homeowner in New Albany, OH, recently began considering updating his basement waterproofing system. While he wasn't experiencing any issues, he was concerned with sump failure with his current system. Ohio Basement Authority installed the SafeDri Battery Back-Up System in his basement. If the primary pump fails for any reason, such as a power outage, the water rises and automatically turns on the SafeDri back-up system. This is powered by a battery specifically designed for long-term standby use. The FreezeGuard Sump Pump Discharge Line System was also installed on the home's exterior to prevent floods if the discharge line freezes.
Carbon Fiber Supports Reinforce a Cracking Wall in New Albany, OH
While a homeowner in New Albany, OH, has lived in his house for three years, he recently discovered a problem in the basement. One of the foundation walls was cracking, and the owner didn’t want them to worsen and result in significant damage. During his search for repairs, the owner found information about Ohio Basement Authority on Home Advisor. He was motivated to contact us for further guidance, as well as meet with one of our inspectors. Our inspector assessed the condition of the wall, and he then recommended one of our reliable foundation repair solutions. One of our crews then installed several Carbon Fiber supports along this wall. These heavy-duty supports firmly adhere to the wall to hold it in its current position as well as prevent any further cracking or inward bowing. The low-profile supports also can easily be concealed with basement finishing materials. The owner now has peace of mind knowing this trustworthy repair has helped ensure the safety and stability of his home.
Crawl Space Encapsulation and Waterproofing Creates a Healthier Home in New Albany, OH
Unhealthy crawl space conditions were beginning to concern homeowners in New Albany, OH. They were worried the cold and wet area under their home was affecting the rest of the living environment, and that these problems would negatively impact their ability to sell the house. They contacted Ohio Basement Authority after learning more about us on Angie’s List, and we installed several crawl space repair and waterproofing solutions. We waterproofed the crawl space by installing a crawl space drainage system that included CrawlDrain and a SafeDri Pro sump pump. Exterior waterproofing installations included a sump pump discharge line, a FreezeGuard attached to this line, and a YardWell outlet attached to the end of the line that was buried underground. The crawl space also was encapsulated in CrawlSeal liner that acts as a moisture and vapor barrier. ExTremeBloc panels were installed on the walls to insulate the crawl space. The homeowners are pleased these permanent solutions have improved the crawl space and home so that it will be a healthier living environment for many more years to come.
Exterior Drainage Upgrades Will Help Keep a Home Dry in New Albany, OH
During the last year, homeowners in New Albany, OH, noticed a problem with their exterior drainage system. Water did not seem to be draining at the street side curb. The owners wanted to prevent a water back-up or flooding in their basement, so they started researching how to address these issues. The owners attended a local home and garden show, and they spoke to some of Ohio Basement Authority’s staff about their concerns. The owners then scheduled an appointment to meet with one of our inspectors. Our inspector evaluated the condition of the exterior drainage system, which also features some unsightly and unsafe above-ground discharge lines. Our inspector then recommended updating the exterior drainage system to help prevent water from the gutter downspouts from leaking inside the house. One of our crews then installed newer, thicker, more reliable pipe for the downspout conductor lines on the property. These lines were placed in the ground and directed to drain water to the curb in front of the house. A FreezeGuard also was placed on the exterior sump pump discharge line to prevent flooding from frozen or blocked lines. The owners are happy to have an updated exterior drainage system that will help keep water out of and away from their home.

Foundation Repair and Basement Waterproofing in New Albany, OH
Homeowners in New Albany, OH, noticed water seeping into their basement every time it rained, and they wanted to have the problem corrected once and for all. They contacted Ohio Basement Authority, and one of our crews installed the sub-floor BasementGutter drainage system and a SafeDri Triple sump pump. New downspout conductor lines were also installed and buried underground. One of the foundation walls was also becoming a cause for concern. After the foundation was excavated down to the footer, the north foundation wall was pushed back to as plumb as possible. Exterior damp proofing was applied to the wall to prevent moisture intrusion, and the soil was backfilled and replaced. The interior wall cracks were filled, and several Carbon Fiber wall supports were installed to further reinforce the foundation walls. The homeowners now have peace of mind knowing their house will be structurally stable and free of water for years to come.
New Downspout Conductor Lines Installed in New Albany, OH
Homeowners in New Albany, OH, have lived in their house since it was built in 1997. In recent months, they have experienced water backing up into their basement because the sump pump discharge line was not draining properly. They contacted Ohio Basement Authority, and one of our expert crews installed new downspout conductor lines on the property. They were buried underground and led out to the street. The homeowners are happy to now have an updated drainage system that will help keep water out of and away from the house.
Permanently Waterproofing and Structurally Stabilizing a Home in New Albany, OH
During the six years that they have lived in their house, homeowners in New Albany, OH, have been dealing with a leaking basement. Along with evidence of water intrusion and damage, two of the foundation walls were showing signs of failure with various wall cracks and slight inward bowing. They plan to sell the home within the next 10 years, so they wanted to address these problems once and for all to create a healthier living environment. They were eager to contact Ohio Basement Authority after seeing one of our TV ads, and we installed some of our reliable basement waterproofing and foundation repair products. The BasementGutter interior drainage system was installed in the basement’s sub-floor to intercept any seeping water and prevent it from saturating the basement floor and causing additional damage. This system directs the water to the SafeDri Super sump pump, which pumps the water out of the home and away from the foundation. A FreezeGuard was attached to the exterior sump pump discharge line, and a YardWell outlet was attached to the end of the downspout conductor line. We installed several Carbon Fiber supports on the foundation wall with minor cracking. These sturdy supports permanently stabilize the wall in its current position, and they prevent further cracking and bowing. The other foundation wall was showing more severe signs of failure, so several Channel Anchors were installed on this wall. These heavy-duty galvanized steel anchors also permanently reinforce the foundation wall, but they also offer the best opportunity to straighten the wall. The anchors are mounted to the floor for extra support, and they are ideal for walls like this one that are bowing, tipping, or pushing in at the bottom. The homeowners now have peace of mind knowing these reliable repair solutions have helped them create a safer and structurally stable home.
Push Piers, ExTremeBloc, SafeDri installations stabilize and improve the health of a home in New Albany, OH
He only lived in his new house for a few months, but a homeowner in New Albany, OH, was tired of cold floors and concerned with high energy costs. An Ohio Basement Authority inspector visited the home and found failing fiberglass insulation in the crawl space, and a partially settled room addition. Our crew completed a few different projects to improve the health and stability of the home. Two Push Piers were installed under the room addition to lift it back into place. The fiberglass insulation was removed and replaced with energy-efficient ExTremeBloc panels that will decrease energy costs and keep the floors warm. A SafeDri sump pump was also installed to keep the crawl space dry. The homeowner is now happy to have a more stable home that is healthy and dry.
Stabilizing and Encapsulating a Crawl Space in New Albany, OH
After living in their house for several years, homeowners in New Albany, OH, noticed the floors above their crawl space felt like they were sagging and uneven. They also were concerned with the condition of the crawl space, which was not properly sealed or insulated. After finding information online about Ohio Basement Authority, the owners were eager to contact us to learn more about how we could help them. One of our inspectors then visited to evaluate the condition of the crawl space. Our inspector then recommended the perfect crawl space repair solutions. One of our crews then installed a steel supplemental support beam underneath the floor joists, which was further reinforced by several IntelliJacks. These heavy-duty supports stabilize the above floors and floor joists, and help raise them back to level. The crawl space also was encapsulated in thick and durable CrawlSeal liner, which fully seals the crawl space. ExTremeBloc insulation panels were placed on the walls, and spray foam insulation was applied to the band joists. A dehumidifier also was installed. The owners are pleased to have a safer and healthier living environment because of these trustworthy repairs.
SafeDri Triple Sump Pump Upgrade Will Keep a Home Dry in New Albany, OH
They have lived in their house for three years, and recently homeowners in New Albany, OH, were concerned with the condition of their basement waterproofing system. They wondered how much longer the existing sump pumps would be able to properly function. After learning more about Ohio Basement Authority through our website, they knew they had to call us. We then replaced the older sump pumps with reliable SafeDri Triple sump pumps. Along with powerful pumps inside the liners, these sump pumps also feature external backup batteries that ensure the system’s functionality even during power outages. FreezeGuards were attached to the exterior sump pump discharge lines. These lines were then tied into new downspout conductor lines that also were installed on the property. The homeowners now have peace of mind knowing the “king of sump pump systems” will always keep their home dry!
SafeDri Sump Pump Upgrades Will Always Keep a Home Dry in New Albany, OH
Homeowners in New Albany, OH, were pleased their two sump pumps kept water out of the basement during the three years they have lived there. However, they wondered how long this would last, considering the frequent power outages they have experienced. While scouring the Internet for battery back-up systems, they found the perfect solution through Ohio Basement Authority. We upgraded the owners’ existing sump pump system by installing two SafeDri Sump Pumps. Each of these reliable sump pumps is equipped with a back-up battery that allows for continued operation even during power failure. FreezeGuards were also attached to the exterior sump pump discharge lines to prevent potential flooding from frozen or blocked pipes. The owners were excited to have their waterproofing system replaced so their home will be a safe and dry living environment for many more years to come.
Unhealthy, Leaking Crawl Space in New Albany, OH, Benefits from Crawl Space Waterproofing and Encapsulation
After moving into their house several years ago, homeowners in New Albany, OH, noticed their floors were cold during the winter. They never go into the crawl space underneath the house, but they suspected this area was the origin of the problem. They researched various repair options and companies, and they contacted Ohio Basement Authority after learning more about us online. During Inspector Steve Davis’ evaluation of the crawl space, he noticed evidence of water seepage and areas of standing water in the crawl space. He then recommended several permanent solutions. One of our expert crawl space repair crews installed the CrawlDrain drainage system, which will intercept any seeping water and drain it to a sump pump. The reliable SafeDri sump pump that was installed will then pump this water out of the crawl space and away from the home. To protect the crawl space from additional moisture and vapor intrusion, the area was completely encapsulated in CrawlSeal liner. This durable liner also helps insulate the crawl space, so the owners will not have to worry about cold floors and high energy bills. CrawlSeal is also tough enough to crawl on and creates a functional crawl space the owners can use for storage. The owners are happy the crawl space, as well as the rest of their home, has been transformed into a healthier living environment because of these permanent solutions. No concerns. I just wanted to express my appreciation towards your staff. I called in when I came to find water in my basement, and was promptly connected to the emergency service line where I spoke with Matt. Matt advised that the techs were pretty busy yesterday, yet still took the time to listen to my problem. Matt was able to diagnose my issue over the phone and walked me through steps to address the issue. I really appreciate that type of service and willingness to help. Thanks again!

They set our appointment earlier than expected and arranged a time frame at our convenience. That was very helpful.

The office staff is very efficient. I left a message and received a return phone call shortly thereafter. The inspector did a great job explaining the process and cost. Your reputation and the thoroughness of the inspector's presentation led me to choose your company. This was a great experience. It was a great job by a great crew. I couldn’t ask for any better.

I did some research beforehand, so I knew a little what to expect. The representative did a great job and was very thorough. I thought this company provided more of what was needed than other companies.

The crew was always on time, and they were great workers. The members of the crew were extremely pleasant and courteous.  They did a great job of cleaning up after themselves daily. Nobody would ever know they were down here. Too bad all companies don’t have workers like this! They deserve a raise!

I went beyond what I originally planned on doing, but I really like it. I don’t have to worry about the dampness anymore. Now I have two sump pumps and battery back-up. This will only help sell the home if I or my children have to do that. It adds value.

I can’t say anything negative about this company. I was very pleased, and I highly recommend them.

I heard about Ohio Basement Authority on TV and on the Internet when I Googled “basement work.” The first company representative I met with was very personable and helpful. He spent all the time I needed to understand what I needed done, and what was going to happen.

I chose to work with Ohio Basement Authority because the company was prompt with the appointment and estimate. They were professional and got back to me in a timely fashion. Some companies just don’t call back. I also got a good impression about the company from the BBB and Angie’s List websites.

The crew was very conscientious about being neat and as unintrusive as possible while still doing the work they needed to do. They cleaned as much as what I wanted done.  They answered any questions and did whatever needed done to do a good job.

Overall, your company was very professional and explained everything ahead of time and during the process. So if I had any questions or concerns, they were answered as we went along. Thank you very much.

The representative and his presentation were very good. Victor presented options to us, but did not pressure us. Nice, low-key sales. The products sell and seal the deal. I'd recommend Victor to others.

I chose the company because of the timeliness of getting to our job (the wait time was not that long), and the price was competitive with another company that was going to use inferior egress materials.

Mike did a good job installing the window. I appreciate the good work. The assistants were good also.

The office staff was extremely pleasant, courteous and helpful in scheduling the initial appointment and the project date. All was very thorough and professional with the inspector I met with.

I then chose to work with Ohio Basement Authority because of their expertise and experience, as well as exceptional reviews by past customers.

The crew was outstanding! They did an unbelievable job of clean-up, both inside and outside!

I chose to work with Ohio Basement Authority because of the quick response to my query for an estimate.

The inspector and his presentation were both great.

The installation crew did a great job getting everything installed, and were very friendly and professional. I was very happy with the service provided.

I contacted three companies, and you were the only one that had someone to set an appointment immediately. The others made me leave a message with the contact person and neither have returned my call. In fact, I even called your office back to adjust the appointment and they were very accommodating with very little notice.

My experience with the inspector was all positive. He was professional and wore protective coverings on his shoes, and he made sure the city inspector did so as well.

The installation crew also was punctual, courteous and professional.

I chose to work with Ohio Basement Authority because of a personal referral and my familiarity with the brand. I’ve also seen the mail ads, and the price of repair was reasonable.

The office staff was very accommodating. Due to my travel schedule, I had to move the date and they were very supportive. The representative I met with also was honest and to the point.

I looked into Ohio Basement Authority because I had seen several of your trucks around the neighborhood.

I was impressed when I received the initial packet in the mail before the first visit. Brendan Kent did a great job explaining things. He was not a pushy salesman.

I appreciated that the crew foreman called every morning to let me know they were on their way.

We had an outside water leak near our basement wall and my husband decided to go with a quality pipe replacement. After talking to our neighbor, he contacted Ohio Basement Authority.

My husband decided to have a completely new water line installed. The new line was horizontally connected to the water shutoff directly through the basement wall. This way, we avoided the necessity of tearing up part of the driveway and digging a trench through the lawn and landscaping. It was necessary to dig down in the driveway at the shutoff valve location. However, the affected driveway section and adjacent sidewalk pieces were completely replaced. The original plastic pipe has been replaced with copper pipe. The leak has been fixed.

I have to say that dealing with the salesman, Mr. Golowin; drilling crew, Mr. Hernandez; and concrete crew, Mr. Cerminara, was a pleasure. What fabulous customer service!

Not only is the work of superb quality, but the men kept their promises. When the foreman said he would call me right back, he did. This is rather rare. I usually have problems with contractors, but not with the men in this company.

We are very pleased with Ohio Basement Authority and plan to hire them for another project.

I would highly recommend this company to anyone who values quality work.

Thank you very much!

I’ve seen your trucks doing work in the neighborhood, and I chose to work with your company because of the price. Also, my inspector was very knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. He did not try to sell me what I did not need.

The crew also was very courteous.

I thought the whole process from the price quote to the completion of the job went smoothly. I was very satisfied with everything.

Our inspector was very professional and explained all of the issues he observed and how the repairs he recommended will fix the problems.

I found Rich Pomales to be professional and knowledgeable. He answered questions I had and explained the process. It is obvious that Rich is passionate about customer service and really knows what he's talking about.

I heard about the company through the Yellow Pages and Angie's List.

The two follow-up calls to confirm the appointment time and date were appreciated, and the sales representative was very prompt, courteous, and knowledgable.

I chose the company because of the honest assessment of the problem, just the facts with no frills, and because of the quick and affordable solution with a lifetime guarantee and no extra unnecessary add-ons suggested!

The crew told me their time of arrival, arrived when they said, then began work immediately! They were very courteous, efficient, and highly professional in all aspects of their work! The area looked cleaner when they left than it did before. All flooring was protected and cleanup was impeccable!

I’ve seen Ohio Basement Authority’s commercials, and my son has his own remodeling business, so he recommended you.

I chose to work with Ohio Basement Authority because of the price and your inspector. He was great. He was very personable and good at making you feel comfortable while explaining the pricing. The salesman from the other company was very conceited and would talk down to me on occasion.

Also, your office staff was very polite and cheerful.

I would recommend you to anyone.

Every time I was in the office, they were very welcoming and I felt that they were there to help. I was acknowledged within seconds and my questions were answered professionally. They never made me feel as if I was interrupting them, even though I could tell they were busy with other things. The representative and his confidence that he could quickly complete the work. Again, the printed materials and photos of other job-sites...a great plus

I'd like an estimate for installing a new sump pump and battery backup system in my home. I'm also interested in the "Ice Guard" attachment for the exterior pipe, so that the line won't freeze in the winter.

We just moved into our home 2 months ago and a couple of days ago we started smelling mold in the finished bedroom in the basement. Last night we discovered that one of the corners of the room has mold on the baseboard. Not on the walls - just the baseboard. I called PuroClean who was recommended by our home inspector and they suggested I call you first to see if you could locate the source of the issue before they clean the mold. Is this something you would be able to do? Thank you!
