Concrete Repair With PolyRenewal®!

If you have a concrete sinking problem, we also offer concrete leveling so you can enjoy your driveway, sidewalk or patio again without worry. In the past, contractors relied upon mud jacking (also known as slab jacking, concrete lifting, concrete raising, grout pumping and slab leveling) to level concrete that had settled over time. This entailed pumping concrete slurry under the settled slab to raise it and hoping that the settlement wouldn't continue. At Ohio Basement Authority we use PolyRenewal® because it is a fast & efficient method to raise sinking concrete. This simple foam injection can stabilize your concrete slab for years to come!

Radon Mitigation and Crawl Space Encapsulation For a Healthier Home in Reynoldsburg, OH
As they moved into their house and began to make it their own, new homeowners in Reynoldsburg, OH, wanted to ensure the health and safety of their living environment. They were concerned with the potential presence of radon. Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas produced by uranium decay in rocks and soil. It is colorless, odorless and tasteless, but radon is very dangerous. It is a leading cause of lung cancer, and it is linked to more than 20,000 annual deaths. The owners found information about Ohio Basement Authority online and they wanted to contact us for further guidance. They met with one of our inspectors who reviewed our company’s mitigation procedures with them and helped them draw up a plan for a mitigation system installation. Our inspector also recommended other improvement projects to tackle along with the mitigation. One of our crews then installed a radon mitigation system to safely draw radon from the house to lower the home’s levels as much as possible. A new 1/3 hp Zoeller® sump pump was installed to replace the pedestal pump, and a domed and sealed lid was placed on the system to prevent radon intrusion. Another radon extraction point for the radon system also was created in the crawl space, and the crawl space was encapsulated in CrawlSeal liner. The homeowners are pleased these trustworthy repair projects were completed to help them create a safe and healthy home.
A Leaking and Cracking Basement in Reynoldsburg, OH, is Permanently Waterproofed and Structurally Stabilized.
Homeowners in Reynoldsburg, OH, just moved into their house, and they were already noticing issues with water intrusion. Water appeared to seep into the basement through various foundation wall cracks and saturate the walls and floor. The existing sump pump in the 45-year-old home also was no longer functioning properly. The owners wanted to make sure the house would always remain dry, so they contacted Ohio Basement Authority. We then installed several permanent waterproofing solutions. This included the sub-floor BasementGutter drainage system around the basement’s perimeter, which intercepts the seeping water and drains it to a new sump pump. The failing system was replaced by the SafeDri Super Sump that will pump any water out of the basement and away from the foundation. One of our many reliable foundation repair products, Carbon Fiber, was also installed. Thirteen Carbon Fiber wall supports were installed on the problematic south and east foundation walls. These sturdy supports permanently stabilize the foundation walls and prevent further cracking and inward bowing. It is also easy to conceal these supports with paint, drywall or paneling. The owners were pleased these permanent solutions were installed so their home will be a safer and healthier living environment for many more years to come.

Having a safe and healthy storage area for her belongings is very important to a homeowner in Reynoldsburg, OH. She moved into her house less than one year ago, and she recently went into the crawl space under the home for the first time. She thought this might be a good space to use for storage, but she was concerned with its condition and appearance. To correct this problem, one of our expert crews first repaired the vertical crack, then sealed it with a sturdy Carbon Fiber support that will also stabilize the wall. This wall support can be concealed by paint or drywall.

Egress Window Installed for Safety in Reynoldsburg, OH
After living in their house for a little more than one year, homeowners in Reynoldsburg, OH, wanted to start using their basement for additional living space. But they knew various repairs needed to be completed first. The owners contacted Ohio Basement Authority after finding information about our company through online resources like Yelp. They met with one of our inspectors, who helped them draw up a plan for the egress window system and its installation. After carefully excavating the area outside where the new window was to be installed, one of our crews carefully cut into the block foundation wall to make room for the new window. The window’s all-vinyl frame is rust-resistant, and its double-pane glass is energy-efficient. A lightly-colored window well was installed outside the window, which allows more natural light into the basement. A durable clear cover was attached to the well to enhance safety as well as keep leaves, debris and precipitation out of the window well. The homeowners are happy to have an updated basement window system that enhances the safety and appearance of their home.

Radon Mitigation in Reynoldsburg, OH
After living in their house for 11 years, homeowners in Reynoldsburg, OH, started to question the health of their home. They wondered if radon could be affecting their living environment. Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas produced by uranium decay in rocks and soil. It is colorless, odorless, and tasteless, making it difficult to detect without the proper testing. Radon also is very hazardous. Along with being a leading cause of lung cancer, exposure to this gas has been linked to more than 20,000 yearly deaths. The homeowners were greatly concerned by these factors, so they wanted to have their home tested for radon. After conducting a test through Alpha Energy Laboratories, the homeowners were surprised to learn their home’s radon levels were 14 picocuries per liter (pCi/L). This is more than three times higher than the level at which the Environmental Protection Agency recommends mitigating radon, which is 4 pCi/L. The homeowners wanted to make sure their home’s radon levels would be as low as possible, so they were eager to contact Ohio Basement Authority based on the recommendation from Alpha Energy. They met with one of our inspectors who reviewed the test results and our company’s mitigation process with them. Then, one of our crews installed a radon mitigation system in their home. We used the sump pit as a suction point to draw radon from the home, and we created another suction point in the crawl space adjacent to the basement. Ventilation pipes connected to these suction points were then directed to the home’s exterior and connected to a ventilation fan. Additional pipes were then connected to the top of the fan unit and extended past the roof to allow for safe and effective radon expulsion. After removing the failing insulation and floor liner, the crawl space was encapsulated in CrawlSeal liner. CrawlSeal acts as a moisture and vapor barrier, as well as a passive radon mitigation system. The homeowners now have peace of mind knowing these reliable repair projects have helped them create a safer and healthier home.

I have just bought a house in Reynoldsburg and it has a sump pump that runs almost constantly. There is a hook up for the UltraSump III battery back up system. However, it looks like most of the parts to this system (such as the actual backup sump pump) are missing. I have the battery for the backup system and the electrical box, but nothing else. The power went out during storms my first week in the house and, had it been out any longer, the basement would have flooded since there is no backup system. I am very concerned that without a backup it will flood during the first long power outage. I would like an estimate for fixing the back up system only, as the sump pump was replaced/fixed quite recently.

I heard about Ohio Basement Authority on TV ads and Angie’s List reviews. I chose to work with the company because of its excellent reputation, and my confidence your company could do the work properly.

The office staff was very courteous and helpful, and the representative I first met with was professional, knowledgeable, and not high-pressure. The installation crew arrived on time each day, and they were all very courteous. They explained what they were doing, answered my questions, and their clean-up was much better than I expected.

I am very satisfied I chose your company to repair my home. I will recommend you to anyone I know who needs foundation repair.

Our inspector was very professional and helpful, and he didn't pressure us for an immediate decision. Great visit! We chose to work with your company because of the reasonable attention to our problem, and the ability to finance our work.

The installation crew actually finished a half-day early! They were in and out very quickly and professionally. Mike was attentive and professional Great crew!

This was a great experience for us!

I selected Ohio Basement Authority for my structural repairs because of the company’s five star rating on the Internet, positive comments, and a clean record with the BBB.

The inspector I met with was professional and made an effort to understand and fix only the problems that needed fixing. He also followed my engineer’s report recommendations to solve the foundation issues.

The crew was polite, explained what they were doing, and took the time to make sure my expectations were being met. They also cleaned up after themselves as the project advanced, and then at the end of the project.

The whole project was handled efficiently and effectively, and I would highly recommend Ohio Basement Authority for basement repairs.

I’ve seen Ohio Basement Authority on TV, and I chose to work with the company because of its reviews on the web and the recommendation from our realtor.

The inspector I met with was excellent at explaining things, which builds trust.

The installation crew was courteous, and their cleanup was satisfactory. They even put down plastic over the upstairs floor and rug to protect it.

I chose to work with Ohio Basement Authority because of the company’s reputation, BBB rating, online reviews, overall presentation by the salesman, and price.

Brendan Kent was very professional and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions and was always available by cell phone, including when I had some follow-up questions after the work was scheduled or actually being done.

Martin, Alex and Angel were my installation crew. Martin called ahead of the arrival, stating they would be there within 30 minutes, and they were.

All three crew members were very courteous. I had the most interaction with Martin since he was the foreman. Martin took the time to explain the process and answered all questions I had.

The crew installed plastic runners on all access areas to the basement, and they enclosed the areas of the basement in plastic where they were breaking up concrete. They cleaned up all debris and swept the basement floor. No complaints at all with respect to clean-up.

Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience with OBA, including the timeliness of the install, the quality of the work, and all of the OBA employees I had contact with – from the office staff to the sales man, to the install crew. I will absolutely recommend OBA.

Your company is blessed with good help!

The office staff was very courteous and helpful. The representative who visited us, as well as his presentation, was excellent!

I actually talked with two representatives - one at a home show earlier in the year, and the other in my home. My experience with those two representatives is why I chose to work with this company.

The crew was very courteous, and they did a very good job cleaning up.

You can bet I will recommend your company!

The inspector was excellent. He educated and helped me, and I never felt pressured. It is obvious he loves what he does and wants to do right for who he is working with, even if it means not making a sale. That's why I chose this company, because of the inspector and the competitive price.

The crew arrived on the dot, and got right to work. They were all very nice, and they showed me the installation after they were done. I had scrap pipe used temporarily on my drains until they could make the repairs. They even took the trash they didn't make.

I chose to work with Ohio Basement Authority because the company was recommended by the radon results lab as a possible contractor.

The salesman was professional and nice, and the installation crew called ahead of their arrival, which was good. The inspector's presentation was good. I chose to work with Ohio Basement Authority because of the options my inspector gave me, then he let me choose. Your price was reasonable.

The members of your crew were very courteous. They worked in a cramped area for a short time, which meant I didn't have to dismantle the structure where I had removed shelves. They also worked around the washer and dryer. I couldn't have asked for better cooperation. The foreman was especially helpful.

Your crew kept busy all the time they were here. They were very careful to keep dust at a minimum, and they willingly answered any questions I had.

Dear Sirs,

I wish to express my appreciation and admiration for the services delivered by Michael on Friday, December 4, when he worked on my home.

Mike arrived with equipment and his assistant. He proceeded with the repair procedures, continuously occupied for several hours. And all this work was treated as a task covered by the guarantee of the original job. In light of the unpredictable causes and considering the labor this was an amazing demonstration of the reliability of Ohio Basement Authority workmanship.

In the course of the afternoon, I asked Mike if the company did any contracts with city councils.

As the project was finished and equipment was being packed away, Mike waved me over to show me something else he was able to repair. This kind of customer assistance, above and beyond any suggestion of obligation, is incredible. Mike is your best advertisement. I have not ceased telling my neighbors, including the one next door who is on the city council, what excellent work and what customer consideration far beyond the ordinary, is provided by the Ohio Basement Authority and its staff.

I wish to thank the company for the very satisfactory experience provided by your staff, and in this case specifically by Mike.

Very truly yours,

Michael S.

I heard about the company through TV, coupon books and the Internet.

Everyone was prompt and polite. There was no haggling. It was bottom line pricing and all the reasons why. They were very quick to deliver appointments and quotes through e-mail so that I could take the time I needed to properly shop around.

The crew called first and they were here right on time. I have never met such a nice, courteous crew before. Not a trace of what they did was left, and the job looked great. It was a pleasure to have them in my home.

This was a good experience. The price was fair, I did not feel overcharged, and I felt comfortable with all the staff. The owner even did a follow-up to make sure I was happy with the job. Nice touch.

I chose to work with Ohio Basement Authority because of the unique reapir system's one-day service, five-year guarantee, and the company’s BBB rating.

I received an excellent presentation and explanation from Justin. He went over all the details and we walked through the repair process for him to show me the issues and how it can be fixed. The installation crew actually arrived 15 minutes early, which was wonderful. They were extremely professional.

I would use your company again for other work if needed and will make referrals.

The crew arrived a bit later than was expected due to company meetings. However, they were very efficient in their work progression. They did keep me abreast of arrival times. The crew was extremely courteous and awesome. Rich sent me pictures throughout the project and kept me abreast of concerns and updates throughout the entire project.

I was referred to Ohio Basement Authority and (Service Technician) Erin Carnahan by my physical therapist. The fact that I received this recommendation from a female told me a lot. It’s hard for women to find someone they can rely on and trust.

My sump pump was humming, and Erin had to replace it. But he told me what I needed to know, explained everything to me, and he was very patient. That is a gift. He is a true treasure - an angel.
