Jokes aside, the work performed initially as well as the yearly tune up and inspections have been extremely satisfying. Our Inspector, Chelsa, came to our Dayton home the other day to check on some suspected foundation settling. I was extremely impressed with her knowledge, confidence and the way she went about the inspection. She walked the entire house with me, asking questions, making sure she had the layout and all adjacencies correct. After the walk-through, she set up her equipment and showed me specifically where the major problem was located and explained how it would be corrected. When she delivered her full report, it was done very professionally. When I asked her about her company and how she felt about working for them, she replied that she was proud to work for OBA and that she had a great crew working in Dayton. Chelsa also mentioned their parent company Groundworks, and the fact that they are employee owned. (Full disclosure: I'm a big Mike Rowe fan, and heard the Groundworks CEO on his podcast recently). All in all, a very, very good experience.

Scheduling my appointment was easy as can be, and I really appreciated receiving a prompt appointment confirmation that kept me in the loop. On the day of the appointment, Chase and Chelsa were fantastic. They arrived right on time, which I truly value working from home and in meetings most of the day. They were thorough and professional, taking the time to carefully check both the inside and outside of my home to identify any potential issues. What I appreciated most was their thorough and honest consultation and recommendations for how to best handle some of the issues they found. I recently hired this company to install two basement egress windows in one of my rental properties, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park! From the first call, they were super quick to respond—got back to me right away, answered all my questions, and scheduled everything efficiently without any hassle. The team that came out was incredibly professional: polite, knowledgeable, and clearly experienced with egress installations. They did a fantastic job on both windows—clean cuts, solid work around the foundation, great attention to detail, and they left the site spotless when they were done. The excavation and block cutting necessary for installation of an egress window are messy jobs. I appreciated the fact that Joe and his crew took extra care to keep the mess to an absolute minimum. My wife and I sat down with Matt and were very happy with his assessment to address our concerns. We set a date and time to begin work to install additional Jacpipes and beams. Iran H. and Chris M. called the night before to authorize an earlier start time. They arrived on time. They began working in the crawlspace and cleaned up the work area. Iran and Chris showed us pics and stated they will return to make the adjustments to the jacposts. Very courteous and professional. We recommend the company.

After 30 years in our home, our foundation was in serious need of repair. Ohio Basement Authorities was selected to do the repair work needed to stabilize the home. They were very professional and quickly demonstrated that they had the expertise and equipment needed to effectively and efficiently get the job done. Very impressive was that a team of just 3 dug out a massive amount of dirt along the entire side of our house which then allowed them to install necessary materials to stabilize the foundation. We recently had Ohio Basement Authority at our home to complete repairs on a basement wall. During the repair process, the work being performed did not align with our understanding or expectations. After contacting the main customer service line, I received some assistance, but several of my questions and concerns remained unresolved. I was then connected with Jake Merrill, Field Supervisor, whose involvement made a significant difference. Jake listened carefully, acknowledged that the project was not progressing as either of us expected, and assured me he would take immediate steps to correct the situation and ensure the work was completed that same day. His communication—both by phone and text—was prompt, clear, and consistently professional. Jake delivered on every commitment he made. The repairs were completed successfully that day, and we are very pleased with the final result. In an environment where exceptional customer service is increasingly rare, Jake demonstrated genuine dedication to resolving the issue and ensuring our satisfaction. My experience with Ohio Basement Authority was excellent from the initial phone call to schedule an inspection to the completion of the work. Jacob, the inspector, did an excellent job of explaining all parts of the process of installing supports on two basement walls. I felt he really made an effort to keep the cost as low as possible. Also excellent was the crew that did the work. The foreman, Tyson, along with Shaun and Josh, worked hard and did an excellent job of cleaning up when finished. Tyson kept me informed throughout the day of the progress they were making. I would recommend Ohio Basement Authority to anyone needing basement/crawlspace work. In the past several months, my husband passed away followed soon after by my dad and then my mom. This work was at my parent's home and this was the first time I have handled such a project on my own. I appreciate how all of you made it.

Vanessa from the Ohio Basement Authority assessed my basement experiencing water intrusion. She and her colleague spent 2 hours with me discussing the issue and how they would address it. I felt satisfied with their knowledge, expertise, and their sales professionalism. Ultimately we decided to patch the crack with another company, because the Basement Authority’s solution was quite pricey. We plan to call Vanessa and Ohio Basement Authority if the problem persists post patch job.
