Sean and Nick did great work on our basement push pier project. They always showed up on time, communicated clearly, and cleaned up after the job was finished. We were so impressed by these two hard working guys. They worked well together, and stayed on site the whole day. Took short breaks, and pushed on to get the project completed in just a few days! Last week I asked Ohio Basement Authority to come out to investigate why my floor was so cold and why cold air was coming in from the bottom of the fireplace. Dylan came out as promised and did an extremely thorough investigation. I was surprised and impressed with how interested and determined he was to figure out the issue. He looked outside, inside, and spent lots of time in the crawlspace. He found places in the crawlspace that were of particular concern and explained what would be the best solutions. He showed pictures and took his time explaining his reasoning. Then he was very willing to explain it again to my son and a friend so they could help me decide. No pressure, professional demeanor. I can tell he loves what he is doing and takes pride in doing it honestly and with excellence. Dylan has made me feel confident having the work done by Ohio Basement Authority.

Dave Syz, the inspector is very professional and compassionate. We have been in this house not even a year and having to deal with leaking into the walls of a beautifully finished basement, albeit a finishing scam, is a harrowing experience. Dave alleviated many concerns and answered every question I had, and some I didn't. He is an asset to his company and I look forward to finishing the job with these guys/gals.

My inspection was performed by Chelsa who arrived on time and was very professional and pleasant. She did an excellent job. Not only was the information she provided detailed, it was very educational as well. I will say being a homeowner twice and having multiple inspections for various home projects, Chelsea was by far the best inspector I have ever encountered. I really believe her being female made the entire process a lot less intimidating.

My experience with Ohio Basement Authority was excellent from the initial phone call to schedule an inspection to the completion of the work. Jacob, the inspector, did an excellent job of explaining all parts of the process of installing supports on two basement walls. I felt he really made an effort to keep the cost as low as possible. Also excellent was the crew that did the work. The foreman, Tyson, along with Shaun and Josh, worked hard and did an excellent job of cleaning up when finished. Tyson kept me informed throughout the day of the progress they were making. I would recommend Ohio Basement Authority to anyone needing basement/crawlspace work. In the past several months, my husband passed away followed soon after by my dad and then my mom. This work was at my parent's home and this was the first time I have handled such a project on my own. I appreciate how all of you made it.

They even changed my sump pump back up battery, rewired it and fixed my leaky pipe. They went way above and beyond and provided the best customer service I have received in as long as I can remember. We would like to share our experience with Zeke Fowler who came to our home today (2/16/23) to provide a free estimate to repair our front porch steps that are leaning by 1-1/4 inch. Although we haven't committed to the service and are still considering all our options, Zeke was was extremely professional, very thorough, trustworthy and a wealth of knowledge. He actually went above and beyond by getting to the root cause of the leaning and pointed out other areas that could be of concern. He was able to point out that our down spouts are not draining the rain water out to the street, thus causing water to pool and saturate the front yard where a large size dip has formed over a couple of decades. So, he not only provided the reasonable cost to perform the repairs but he also pointed out other areas of our property, specifically the sidewalks where there is some unevenness that has the potential for trip hazards. We are so thankful that Zeke was the person that Ohio Basement Authority sent to our home today, because we can't imagine anyone else with more expert knowledge than him. If you are a homeowner in need of their services, we highly recommend Zeke to be the person you could request. Thanks again.

We just bought a new house, and even though we've only been here for the winter, I can already tell that Basement Authority is a five-star operation. 1. They include a lifetime warranty on their work. Not just YOUR lifetime – the lifetime OF THE PROPERTY. They did the work on our basement for the previous owners, and when we bought the house, we were able to have the warranty transferred to us. If we ever leave, the next owners will be able to get the same warranty. That's how you know they do good work! 2. A week ago, I had my first yearly check-up with Matt. Ohio Basement Authority called ME to remind me that they were running a "free check-up" deal, and we scheduled it right away! They're very conscientious that way. 3. Matt is clearly enthusiastic about his work with Basement Authority, and I can tell that the same could probably be said for just about everyone working there. He was eager to tell me all about their revolutionary advances in basement filtration / reinforcement technology – some of which were only invented in the past decade. He wasn't afraid to take his time and walk me through every single system at work in my basement and the logic behind them. 4. Their work is transformative! For our first 2 months living here, the basement looked so normal that we simply thought the basement work (done by Basement Authority for the previous owners) was preventative – maybe fixing some cracks or installing drainage pipes. My mind was blown when Matt showed me pictures of our basement from 9 months ago! It had been a total mess – mud seeping in through the corners of the foundation, nauseating puddles of black mold working their way up the walls, leaks on both sides of the basement. It's a miracle they were able to fix it up into our current "normal" basement! 5. When I asked Matt for his opinion on some additional basement work we were thinking of doing (reinforcing an additional wall), he told me how Basement Authority would go about it, and he added that they had a payment plan option for 2 years same as cash. Even the financial aspect makes sense! There you have it, 5 reasons for 5 stars. Even just at the start of my experience with Basement Authority, I know they will not disappoint me!

I called to have the foundation of my home repaired. My floor boards were moving, there was a crack in my center wall. My anxiety was through the roof and I was dreading spending several thousands or tens of thousands of dollars. Mr. Hollis Smith showed up promptly, professionally and friendly. I explained to him my concerns and showed him the issues. After a few hours he basically tells me that the guy I hired to put jack stands in the basement installed them wrong. He also cranked them too high, pushing up on the floors and causing the crack in the wall and the floorboard separation. He then tells me the jack stands were not even needed. What I thought was a massive hole and faulty foundation was perfectly fine. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone. He could have really taken me to the bank for work I did not need done and he didn’t. That’s integrity! He is looking at a few other jobs that we would like to have now. Jobs there are not urgent. We look forward to working with his professionalism, honesty and expertise!

Our finished basement became flooded with ground water. It was bad. We were walking in PUDDLES of water throughout the basement. A family member who is a contractor for home improvements recommended Ohio Basement Authority (OBA) Sara who works for them came to evaluate our basement issues. She fully explained the issue and the process to eliminate it. She discovered this was not a new issue for us as we found mold behind the drywall. The working crew of Tracen, Daniel, Ciadne, and Dryck all were extremely professional and answered all our questions. As we do not have an outside door from our basement, they had to hand carry all the equipment, supplies and old concrete up the basement stairs and out of the house. They did everything possible to mitigate the construction mess from laying drop cloths to putting up plastic curtains. The process for us was quick and efficient. They cleaned up all the construction mess and more. We are extremely pleased with the end product and looking forward to reclaiming our basement as living and storage space. Thank you OBA who not only fixed the issue but really addressed a potential health issue for our family! 10/10. The warranty on the work is good for the lifetime of the house.

His assessment was thorough and detailed and noted several concerns that I had not previously been aware of. He was very helpful in advising me as how to best proceed and what to ask and look for when the company that did the original warrantied work returns to readdress the problems. We recently had Ohio Basement Authority at our home to complete repairs on a basement wall. During the repair process, the work being performed did not align with our understanding or expectations. After contacting the main customer service line, I received some assistance, but several of my questions and concerns remained unresolved. I was then connected with Jake Merrill, Field Supervisor, whose involvement made a significant difference. Jake listened carefully, acknowledged that the project was not progressing as either of us expected, and assured me he would take immediate steps to correct the situation and ensure the work was completed that same day. His communication—both by phone and text—was prompt, clear, and consistently professional. Jake delivered on every commitment he made. The repairs were completed successfully that day, and we are very pleased with the final result. Ohio Basement Authority installed an egress window for me. Joe Stuber and his crew were a pleasure to work with. The excavation and block cutting necessary for installation of an egress window are messy jobs. I appreciated the fact that Joe and his crew took extra care to keep the mess to an absolute minimum. Dan came out to inspect my home for some moisture along the basement walls. Thankfully, the solutions were identified and should solve the problems. Dan explained a lot to me about how lifting and stabilizing my concrete porch would help to stop water making its way to the foundation. He was also very helpful in explaining many things about home building I never knew. I felt a bit more empowered and at ease learning about how my basement drainage is set up. I have yet to have the work done on the front sidewalk and porch but look forward to the fix.

Job was substantially completed 10/07 And full payment was made on 10/08 With the agreement that a 10 foot condensation hose from the dehumidifier would be delivered to me on 10/11 so the Aprilair unit could be more centrally located . Currently hose is only 5 feet long. Also the delivery team did not provide any verbal instructions except to press arrows up or down to set the humidity settings . I was told with purchase that instructions would be given to me and explain maintenance .The agreement was the 10 foot hose would be delivered 10/11 and at that time instructions on care of unit would be provided verbally . I was there from 9a-4:15 and did not receive any calls to reschedule .

I have been noticing cracks in the outside corners of my foundation walls. Contacted a foundation repair company for an opinion. The representative arrived, spent 15 minutes looking at the cracking corners and proceeded to explain what needed to be done to repair my failing foundation. He didn't ask to go inside to look at the basement walls and never once reached out to me (other than emailing his estimate for repair) after leaving. Today I met with Max Waller from your company! From the very beginning Max was amazing! He brought a laser level and showed me the slight changes in the foundation due to settling over time. He went inside to the basement and took additional measurements of changes to the walls. In total he spent close to 2.5 hours inspecting, measuring and answering my many questions. By the time he finished I had complete confidence that his assessment of my foundation was honest and accurate! I plan on having him back out for a follow up towards the end of the summer months. You have special team member in Max!!

He went above and beyond with his inspection and made sure I understood not only the solutions available to me but even taught me about how foundations of homes are built – which I didn’t know too much about considering my house was built in the late 1800s. When my basement flooded, OBA was there within an hour. Chris Masselli, the tech, jumped right in to figure out what was going on. Without my even asking, they replaced my sump pumps (and added one more) and dehumidifier which had been ruined, under my warranty. As we tried to figure out what was causing the intrusion, Chris came out at least half a dozen times with just a phone call, including being at my house until after 11 one night. Tracen and his crew, Ciande and Ali, rearranged their work schedule to make sure needed work was done before the rain came. I have an old house, so they had to do a lot of problem-solving to find a solution for us. They were professional, friendly, and did excellent work. Kaleb called to help me with another related problem, found us an answer, and then followed up to make sure everything worked out. They stayed in touch with me every single day for two weeks until everything was good. They even provided an extended maintenance contract to ensure that any possible problems in the future would be addressed. If I had to use one word to describe this company, it would be integrity. Every single interaction was professional. They went above and beyond in every way and made sure I had the outcome I needed. Finding quality companies to do work in our home has been a struggle, but this is what high quality looks like. If every company did business like this, it would be so much better. Highly, highly recommend.
