Keeping a Leaking Basement Dry with a More Reliable Waterproofing System in Pataskala, OH

While homeowners in Pataskala, OH, have lived in their house since it was built six years ago, they recently noticed a problem in their basement after heavy rains. Water leaked into several areas, leaving behind wet carpet and drywall. The owners wanted to make sure their basement and home would be healthy and safe, so they started to research basement waterproofing systems. They found information about Ohio Basement Authority online and were eager to contact us for further guidance. Inspector Brendan Kent visited to complete a thorough evaluation of the leaking basement. Brendan then presented the owners with some of our reliable basement waterproofing solutions. One of our crews, led by Foreman Valentin Rosales, first removed the existing drywall and insulation from the walls, and then began to install solutions including the BasementGutter interior drainage system, SafeDri Battery Backup System, CrawlSeal wall system, and exterior FreezeGuard attachment. BasementGutter was placed in the sub-floor to catch seeping water from the walls and floor. Any water intercepted by BasementGutter is directed to the SafeDri system, which features two powerful pumps inside its liner along with an external backup battery. The sump then pumps this water out of the home and away from the foundation. Additionally, a FreezeGuard was attached to the exterior sump pump discharge line to prevent flooding from frozen or blocked lines. In place of the older insulation, we covered the walls with the CrawlSeal wall system. CrawlSeal typically is used to encapsulate crawl spaces, but it also is useful in basements. This thick and durable liner is completely waterproof, and it helps direct any seeping water from the walls down to the BasementGutter system in the floor. The homeowners are happy to now have a more reliable basement waterproofing system to help keep their home safe and dry for many years to come.

Jiovanni then recommended one type of our many reliable sump pump systems. Foreman Logan Flanagan and his crew then removed the older sump pump system and replaced it with the SafeDri Pro X system. A powerful 1/3 hp pump is housed within the sump liner to help pump seeping water out of the basement. We used the larger liner for our SafeDri Triple sump system to allow for easy future upgrades.
